Job summary

Northeastern School District is seeking a cafeteria attendant to help serve meals to students and maintain a clean, safe dining area. You will assist with food preparation, inventory, and keeping records for condiments and desserts.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and knowledge of sanitation and food safety; prior food service experience is helpful. This is a district position with duties from the Head Cook and Cafeteria Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Knowledge of nutrition, sanitation and food safety.
• Some experience in food service operations is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with various food preparations according to menu quantities and recipes.
• Oversee serving line setup, stocking items, utensils, and napkins.
• Replenish serving line during breakfast and lunch periods.
• Run terminal during lunch periods and manage teardown and cleanup.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local food service regulations.
• Operate and knowledge of the POS cash register system.
