Job summary

Carroll County Schools is seeking a School Nutrition Coordinator to assist the Director of School Nutrition in supervising, planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating the food and nutrition service operation in the schools. The coordinator will also supervise in the Director's absence and support nutrition education efforts.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as familiarity with local, state and federal requirements for school meals.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a school nutrition manager (public school experience preferred).
• SNA certification is preferred.
• Completion of Training-In-Depth courses is preferred.
• Training Skills for Managers course is preferred.
• Working knowledge of school nutrition equipment.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others and be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the program in the absence of the Director of School Nutrition.
• Assist managers with staffing, quality food preparation, production records and meal costs.
• Provide on-site training and technical assistance to managers and food assistants.
• Develop and implement new programs and assist in introducing new products to increase participation.
• Assist with adherence to local, state and federal policies and regulations.
