Job summary

Montgomery-Public-Schools is seeking a Child Nutrition Program Worker to support local school CNP operations. You will assist with food prep and service, storage, inventory, and sanitation, while following USDA guidelines and school policies.

Ability to meet Alabama suitability criteria.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
Ability to use technology as required.
Ability to complete annual USDA training.
Stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Assists in preparation and service of food per the written menu and supervisor’s instruction.
Performs food storage, inventory control, equipment cleaning, and related sanitation tasks.
Operates food service equipment according to procedures.
Participates in CNP activities including cashier, server, or other duties as assigned.
Maintains professional dress and hygiene suitable for food service.
Observes safety precautions in kitchen and work areas.
Cooperates with staff to maintain high standards in the CNP.
