Job summary

Albemarle County Public Schools is seeking a Food Service Manager II for Mountain View Primary School to oversee the school cafeteria operations, coordinate meal production, and supervise staff to ensure nutritious meals and excellent customer service for students and staff.

The role is full-time (8 hours/day, 10 months), non-exempt, with a pay grade 10, and requires at least two years of experience in quantity food preparation as well as a current food safety certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with business coursework.
• At least two years of experience in quantity food preparation, preferably in a school setting.
• Maintain a food service manager certification in food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, administer and evaluate the cafeteria operation to provide appealing and nutritious meals with good customer service for students and staff.
• Oversee food preparation, service and cleaning, and supervise cafeteria staff.
• Ensure compliance with National School Lunch Program, state and local health regulations and maintain accurate records.
