Job summary

Elizabeth Public Schools seeks a Supervisor of Food and Nutrition Services in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Under the Director, you will plan and supervise a non-profit school food program serving meals in a clean, cheerful environment to support healthy eating.

Requirements include a degree in nutrition/food services (RD preferred or eligible) and at least two years’ supervising a large school food operation. Must have NJ driver’s license and flexibility for 12-month year.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of food and nutrition and food services.
• Registered dietitian or R.D. eligible OR master's Degree in institutional administration, nutrition or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plans menus for breakfast, lunch, snack and special events in line with student needs and federal nutrition standards.
• Supervises procurement, storage, inventory, and distribution of food, supplies and equipment for multiple schools.
