Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools seeks a Manager Assistant: School Nutrition to support the School Nutrition Manager (Level 4) in planning, cooking and serving meals while maintaining food safety. The role also covers inventory duties and acts as back-up to the manager as needed.

This on-site position requires a High School Diploma or Equivalency, two years of food service experience, ServSafe Manager certification on hire, and the ability to work flexible hours and extended shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• Two (2) years food services experience required.
• Ability to adhere to USDA guidelines and AACPS policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains food quality using standardized recipes and cooking procedures.
• Assists in planning food preparation schedules.
• Participates in the preparation, cooking and serving of food.
• Maintains correct food temperatures and monitors quality.
• Inspects deliveries for quantity and specifications.
• Assists with inventories of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensures sanitary and safe conditions in line with safety practices.
