Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• Two years food services experience required.
• Knowledge of USDA guidelines for Child Nutrition programs preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and work under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains food quality through standardized recipes and portioning.
• Assists in preparation, cooking and serving of meals.
• Maintains correct food temperatures and monitors quality.
• Inspects deliveries for quantity and specifications.
• Aids with inventories of food, supplies and equipment.
• Supports cleaning and sanitary practices to ensure safety.
• Maintains quality from preparation to service.
• Prepares records and reports for the Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned within the same classification.
