Job summary

Texans Can! Academies in Dallas seeks a Student Nutrition Services Lead to manage meal service operations at the school site. You will supervise staff, handle cashier duties, and ensure proper documentation for meals served.

You will verify student meal applications and maintain records per TEA/USDA guidelines, reporting to the SNS Director. This role requires a Food Service Handler Manager Certification and experience in school food service.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: Food Service Handler Manager Certification required.
• Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and some job-related experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience in food service supervision preferred; at least 10 hours CEU training in the school year.

Responsibilities

• Receives, organizes, and stores food and beverages at the school site; inspects for conformity; reports discrepancies.
• Prepares food service areas before breakfast and lunch service.
• Arrange food and beverages for easy access by students.
• Serve as point-of-sale clerk and handle cashier duties; record meals with student IDs.
• Prepare Production Records as needed under guidance from Manager/Field Supervisor.
• Track meals served via POS system and maintain related records per TEA/USDA guidelines.
• Monitor work area for safety and cleanliness; report findings to Field Supervisor/Director SNS.
