Job summary

Texans Can! Academies on-site Student Nutrition Services Manager will lead campus food service operations, ensuring meals meet TEA/USDA standards and supervising staff to maintain quality and safety.

You will report to the Director of SNS, require a Food Service Handler Manager Certification and a high school diploma or GED, with at least two years of supervision experience and CEU training. This is a full-time, on-site role across Texans Can campuses.

Qualifications

• Certification as Food Service Handler Manager required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years experience in food service supervision.
• Must complete at least 10 hours of CEU training in the school year.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Food Service Operation to meet TEA/TDA/USDA guidelines in Texans Can Academies schools.
• Assign work to campus food service workers and oversee completion of duties.
• Maintain serving schedules and ensure items are served according to menu specifications.
• Collaborate with campus principal and SNS Director to accommodate schedule changes.
• Cover other schools as needed and supervise staff at designated campuses.
• Review student meal applications daily to determine eligibility for free/reduced meals.
