Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Meet suitability criteria under Alabama Child Protection Act.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as needed.
• Follow instructions and show strong interpersonal skills.
• Adhere to Child Nutrition Program guidelines and regulations.
• Use technology as required for job duties.
• Maintain health certifications including TB skin test.
• Show strength, stamina, agility, and dexterity for safe work.
• Stand, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and maintain punctual attendance.
• Possess any board-required alternative qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates support for the school system's vision and priorities.
• Assist in preparation and service of food per the daily menu and supervisor direction.
• Perform storage, inventory control, cleaning, assembly/disassembly of equipment, and related sanitation tasks.
• Maintain courtesy and professionalism in all interactions.
• Operate food service equipment per established procedures.
• Participate in job rotation and assist in CNP activities as assigned (cashier, server, etc.).
• Maintain professional dress and hygiene suitable for food service.
• Observe safety precautions in kitchen and work areas.
• Collaborate with staff to uphold high standards in CNP.
