Job summary

Lexington County School District One is seeking a Food Service Operator for New Providence Elementary School to prepare and serve meals under supervision. You will follow recipes, monitor temperatures, and carry out cleaning duties in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

The ideal candidate will be a high school graduate (or equivalent) with some food service exposure. Reports to the Principal; non-exempt status; no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Prior food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares breakfast and/or lunch meals in proper quantities for serving; follows approved recipes or package directions.
• Maintains sanitary conditions and proper food temperatures during preparation, service, and storage.
• Operates food service equipment and basic cash handling as assigned.
