Memphis Shelby County Schools is seeking a school cafeteria cook to assist the Nutrition Supervisor in preparing and serving nutritious meals for students and staff in a clean, safe dining environment.

The role requires following recipes, monitoring cooking times, and maintaining sanitary conditions in preparation, storage, and serving areas. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and pass a background check; experience in quantity food preparation is preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with school nutrition or food service preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP) required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare food items for student and staff meals following menus and recipes.
• Operate serving lines and ensure proper portioning and cleanliness.
• Maintain sanitation of work areas, equipment, and storage spaces.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures for safety and quality.
• May operate a point-of-sale terminal and assist in cashier duties.
• Follow district policies and complete work records as required.
