Base pay range

$40,000.00/yr - $48,000.00/yr

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required; Certification by the School Nutrition Association preferred.
• At least three (3) years of recent food service experience.
• Five (5) years of supervisory experience, with at least three recent years in a supervisory role.
• Valid TN driver’s license.
• Physical and health qualifications as specified, including ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate kitchen and office equipment, and perform cooking operations while instructing.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist the Supervisor of School Nutrition with compliance, staff training, supervision, and food safety procedures.
• Visit school cafeterias to ensure policy adherence and proper operation.
• Train and supervise cafeteria managers and staff.
• Monitor safety, sanitation, food storage, and handling in accordance with federal laws and USDA regulations.
• Ensure timely submission of reports and documentation.
• Conduct annual on-site reviews and assist with internal audits.
• Develop and conduct training on Standard Operating Procedures.
• Attend relevant meetings and seminars.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including coverage for other nutritional positions.

Additional Details

• Reports to: Supervisor of School Nutrition.
• Terms: 200 days (10 months), non-exempt, full-time employment.
