Applitrack is seeking a Food and Nutrition Services Manager at Palatine High School to supervise daily cafeteria operations and ensure efficient, high-quality service.

You will lead staff with the Assistant Manager, maintain standards for food quality, sanitation, safety, and customer service, and report operational needs to district administration. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on willingness to handle emergencies.

Qualifications

• Illinois Food Sanitation Certification.
• Knowledge of food purchasing, sanitation procedures, and equipment operation.
• Experience in school food service management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace.
• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, management, and customer service skills.
• Ability to bend, stoop, turn, squat, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to respond to after-hours calls and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily operation of the school's food service program.
• Provides leadership and supervision to food service staff to support efficient operations and a positive work environment.
• Ensures standards for food quality, nutrition, sanitation, safety, financial accountability, and customer service are maintained.
• Supports the goals of the Food and Nutrition Services Department and communicates needs to District-level administration.
