Job summary

The Nutrition Service Worker supports meal preparation and service in a Granite School District kitchen. You will work with heated equipment, follow standardized recipes, and help ensure food safety and cleanliness in a physically demanding role.

This position is 28.75 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a starting pay of $19.63 per hour for the 2026-27 school year. A high school diploma or GED and a Utah Food Handler's permit are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires a Utah recognized Food Handler's permit.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, heats, and portions food using standardized recipes and instructions.
• Operates commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, warmers, mixers, slicers).
• Maintains clean and sanitary food preparation, serving, eating, and dishwashing areas.
• Cashes meals and records counts if assigned; assists with inventory and deliveries.
