Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Washington State DOH Food Worker Card required.
• Basic arithmetic, operate kitchen equipment, adjust recipes for quantity, use office equipment.
• Knowledge of food prep methods, health codes, sanitation and nutrition requirements.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Able to understand and follow instructions and communicate clearly.
• Demonstrated punctuality and good attendance.
• Ability to work with staff, students and patrons.

Responsabilités

• Assist in preparation, serving, storage and disposal of food to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Prepare food and beverages to meet nutrition and meal requirements.
• Cook/bake foods from scratch or pre-made to meet needs.
• Estimate quantities and manage food waste.
• Open cans and prepare vegetables for cooking.
• Inspect food for quantity and quality and comply with health requirements.
• Wash dishes and keep dining and kitchen areas clean.
• May lead students/volunteers and set up sales of lunches.
• Report equipment malfunctions to keep a safe environment.
• Assist with inquiries about food items and stock inventories.
• Support year-end clean-up and documentation.
