Job summary

Limestone County Board of Education seeks a CHILD NUTRITION PROGRAM WORKER to support daily meal preparation and service for students, staff, and community members. You will follow the written menu, assist with storage and sanitation, and participate in various CNP activities under supervision.

Responsibilities include operating kitchen equipment, maintaining professional conduct, and adhering to USDA and state CNP guidelines. Regular attendance and teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure.
• Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Ability to follow Child Nutrition Program guidelines and regulations per Federal and State.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and service of food according to the written menu and supervisor’s instruction.
• Perform food storage, inventory control, equipment cleaning, assembly, and sanitation tasks.
• Demonstrate courteous and professional demeanor.
• Operate food service equipment per established procedures.
• Serve in rotation or assist in CNP activities including cashier, server, backup, dish machine operator, and cleanup.
