Job summary

Henry County Schools is seeking a School Nutrition Assistant to prepare, cook, serve, and store meals in accordance with HACCP procedures and Health Department requirements, and to uphold meal accountability.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or HSE, exceptional integrity, confidentiality, reliability, and the ability to supervise students, including during emergencies, plus the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE) preferred.
• Ability to abide by ethics codes and standards.
• Reliable attendance and professional conduct.
• Ability to supervise students, including during emergencies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform routine physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve food following HACCP procedures.
• Follow daily production schedules and prepare recipes as written.
• Clean utensils and equipment; dispose of garbage and mop floors.
• Utilize leftovers as directed and store items properly.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Complete required training including annual local training and orientation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administrator.
