Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking a School Nurse (RN) Substitute to work in a home-office setting, supporting health services for scholars and staff. You will manage acute and chronic conditions, provide first aid and CPR, and educate staff on health emergencies and medication administration.

You will develop and maintain Individual Health Plans, participate in 504/IEP meetings, and supervise Health Assistant/UAP while ensuring FERPA/HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
• RN license in operating or compact state.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification.
• SSMP certification and staff training in Epinephrine/Albuterol/Narcan.
• Ability to create and maintain Individual Health Plans (IHPs).

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care for minor injuries, illnesses, and emergencies.
• Stabilize ill or injured individuals and coordinate EMS as needed.
• Attend 504 and IEP meetings for students with health concerns.
• Maintain health records, immunizations, vision/hearing screenings.
• Supervise Health Assistant/UAP and communicate with Nursing Director.
