Job summary

Gilbert Unified School District is seeking a School Registered Nurse for a TEMPORARY, hourly role in Gilbert, AZ. The nurse will provide health services to students, perform screenings, manage medications, and support IEP teams to maintain a conducive educational environment.

The position requires an RN license, CPR training, Hepatitis B evidence, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Prior RN experience and strong communication are preferred for effective student and staff collaboration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Immunization compliance and disease surveillance.
• Vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings per State Law.
• Health office duties including first aid, meds, nursing assessment.
• Maintain documentation in paper and computer systems.
• Prepare health plans and emergency/transportation plans.
• Collaborate with IEP teams for medically fragile students.
• Participate in behavioral health and safety teams; faculty trainings.
• Implement health services per nursing practice and district policies.
