Job summary
Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana is seeking a part-time School Nurse for Indianapolis Metropolitan High School. The nurse will provide direct care, health assessments, and coordinate health services to support student readiness to learn.
Responsibilities include administering medications, developing health plans, and maintaining records while complying with HIPAA and FERPA regulations. Indiana RN license and BSN are required; CPR/First Aid certifications or ability to obtain are needed.
Qualifications
- BSN required and Indiana RN license in good standing.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Strong communication with students, families, and staff is essential.
- Experience in school health services or pediatrics is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care, health assessments, and emergency response.
- Develop and implement health plans and coordinate care with families and providers.
- Administer medications per physician orders and school policy.
- Maintain confidential health records in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA.
