The Acton-Boxborough School District is seeking a School Nurse to join our health services team for the 2026-2027 school year. The nurse will provide student-centered nursing care, support health needs, and promote a safe and healthy school community in the elementary health office.

Required: Bachelor's degree, Massachusetts RN licensure, DESE certification or eligibility, CPR/AED, and ideally two years in school/pediatric/public health nursing. Full-time position, per ABEA contract.

Qualifikationen

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
• Current licensure as a Massachusetts Registered Nurse.
• DESE certified or eligible for certification.
• Prefer two years of experience in school, pediatric, or public health nursing setting.
• Current CPR/AED certification.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct nursing care to students using the nursing process in accordance with current standards during the school day.
• Administer and/or supervise administration of medication in compliance with school policy and state regulations.
• Initiate and oversee immunization surveillance and screening programs as required.
• Maintain comprehensive health records including visits, communications with families, and health office documentation.
• Collaborate with school physicians, local nurses, and health department to manage communicable diseases and health policies.
• Support plans for students with special health care needs and 504/IEP accommodations.
• Promote a safe and healthy learning environment and participate in safety/wellness teams.
• Engage in health education activities and advise staff on health issues impacting learning.
