Job summary

Gilbert Public Schools is seeking a School Registered Nurse to provide health services and nursing care in the district Health Office. The role supports students’ wellbeing through screenings, assessments, and timely medical attention.

Essential duties include immunization surveillance, record maintenance, and collaboration with the IEP/504 teams for medically fragile students. Prior RN experience and valid credentials are required; fingerprint clearance is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience: Prefer at least two years of clinical RN experience.
• Education: Associate or Bachelor degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Certifications/Clearances: RN License in Good Standing. National School Nurse Certification (Recommended). Evidence of Hepatitis B Series.

Responsibilities

• Immunization compliance and disease surveillance.
• Maintain health records in an organized and confidential fashion.
• Vision and hearing screenings to meet State Law.
• Health Office duties including first aid, medication dispensing, nursing assessment and related tasks.
• Train staff on emergency healthcare procedures and ensure state law compliance.
• Maintain documentation within a Health Information System.
