Job summary
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time contract in Auburn, IN. The RN will deliver nursing care within a school setting, supporting students’ physical, mental and emotional well-being and responding to medical emergencies.
Responsibilities include promoting health and safety, managing chronic conditions, and liaising with families, school staff and healthcare providers.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of employment.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract.
- One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience preferred.
- Complies with all professional standards of practice.
- Current CPR if applicable.
- TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
- Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
- Must meet federal, state and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Oversees application of the nursing process and delivery of student care in a school setting.
- Supports physical, mental and emotional well-being of students within the school.
- Promotes health and safety and responds to medical emergencies.
- Manages chronic conditions and liaises with families, school staff and healthcare providers.
