Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Registered Nurse (RN) for Bellevue, NE. This contract-full-time role pays $42 per hour and requires an active RN license in the state, with a Bachelor's degree preferred and School Nurse Certification as applicable by state or contract.

The nurse will support student health and respond to medical needs in a school setting. The role involves coordinating care, promoting student well-being, and complying with relevant standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract.
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience, preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the application of the nursing process and delivery of student care in a school setting.
• Supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of students within the school setting.
• Responds to medical emergencies and manages chronic conditions.
• Liaises between families, school staff and healthcare providers.
• Follows Amergis’ philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
