Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time contract in Auburn, IN. The RN will deliver nursing care within a school setting, supporting students’ physical, mental and emotional well-being and responding to medical emergencies.

Responsibilities include promoting health and safety, managing chronic conditions, and liaising with families, school staff and healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract.
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience preferred.
• Complies with all professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The School Registered Nurse oversees the application of thenursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. TheSchool RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of studentswithin the school setting. The School RN plays an essential role in promotingthe health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, managing chronicconditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff andhealthcare providers. The School RN provides services in accordance with Amergis’philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state ofemployment
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatricexperience, preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
