Rivermont Schools is seeking a School Nurse (RN/LPN) to support student health and wellness with compassionate care during the school day. You’ll assist with medication administration, first aid, and health monitoring under supervision.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the health team and families in a safe learning environment. The ideal candidate holds a Virginia license as an RN or LPN, has at least two years of pediatric nursing experience, and is skilled in documentation,

Qualifications

• Current Virginia license as an RN or LPN.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience with children.
• Knowledge of medical disorders, treatment procedures, infection control.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local school health regulations.
• Strong communication, documentation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with students, families, staff and the health team.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care, first aid, and health support to students during the school day.
• Administer medications and document care according to physician orders and school policies.
• Monitor students with chronic conditions and report changes in health status to the Certified School Nurse.
• Support staff with student health needs and communicate effectively with families when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant health office environment.
