Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program with an active RN or LPN license in Michigan.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in pediatric, school health, or community health nursing.
- Current CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to students for acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policies.
- Monitor and manage student health records to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Develop and implement care plans for students with medical needs.
- Educate students, staff, and parents on health topics such as disease prevention and wellness.
- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
- Collaborate with school staff and community health resources to support student wellbeing.
