Job summary

The City of Everett is seeking a School Nurse to work within the public school system. The nurse will provide health assessments, medication administration, and contribute to a healthy school environment for students.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, coordinating with health professionals and school staff, maintaining health records, and supporting immunization programs. A current RN license and CPR/First Aid certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License.
• CPR and First Aid Certification from a recognized provider.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Health assessment, medical treatment, and health counseling of students.
• Medication administration.
• Development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of individualized medication administration care plans and health care plans.
• Collaboration with other health care providers and school personnel regarding student health.
• Provide emergency care to individuals in case of injury or sudden illness.
• Maintain health records using Aspen X2 and report discrepancies.
