Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time, onsite school-based role in Chicago, IL. You will provide nursing care 1:1 or in the health room to students with diverse medical needs, following district standards and collaborating with educators and families.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Hourly Rate: $29 to $34 per hour*based on education and experience

Location:Chicago, Illinois (Onsite - School Setting)

Position Summary:

RCM is hiring Full Time LPN's to work 1:1 or in the Health Room providing Nursing Services to their assigned caseload. As a School Nurse, you will provide nursing care and health support services to students within a school-based setting across Chicago, Illinois. This role supports students with a variety of medical and special healthcare needs while collaborating with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care throughout the school day. Key Duties

• Provide direct nursing care and health support services to students with special healthcare needs
• Support students requiring ventilators, tracheostomy care, seizure precaution,diabetes management, catheterization, and tube feedings
• Monitor student health status and respond appropriately to medical needs during the school day
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student well-being and safety
• Maintain accurate health documentation and comply with district and state nursing standards
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and additional duties as assigned
• Support a safe and inclusive educational environment for all students

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Illinois State Nursing License (LPN)
• Clear Criminal Background Check
• Physical (within the year mark)
• PPD (within the year mark)
• CPR (BLS) - Must Be American Heart Association

Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Ability to care for students with complex medical and special healthcare needs
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively within a school-based environment
• Ability to meet fingerprinting and district clearance requirements

Schedule / Shift:

• Monday - Friday (This position will follow the bell schedule of the assigned school)
• Hours per week: ~32.5-37.5
• Length of Assignment: School Year
