The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is seeking a Registered Nurse or BSN for Missouri Schools for the Severely Disabled (MSSD). The base salary ranges from $46,272 to $49,872, with potential adjustments for years of service or shift differentials.

You will coordinate health screenings, administer medications, participate in IEP conferences, and help develop school health plans. A Missouri RN license is required, with pediatrics or disability experience preferred; state

Qualifications

Licensed as a registered nurse in Missouri.
Experience with pediatrics and/or individuals with disabilities.
The position requires a professional license pursuant to state law.

Responsabilités

Coordinate and implement a plan for health screenings.
Coordinate, design and implement special health care procedures.
Provide training on lifting techniques, basic first aid, infection‑control procedures, dispensing medication, CPR and other in‑service training as needed.
Administer medication and other health care procedures.
Follow proper nursing procedures and maintain appropriate documentation.
Participate in staffing and IEP conferences to provide information on the student’s physical and health needs when requested.
Oversee all SHCP, ensuring they are completed correctly and all necessary supplies are available; notify parents if additional supplies are needed.
