Job summary

ISD 622 seeks a Registered Nurse II to support student health services in the district health office. You will triage health concerns, plan for students with health needs, and manage evaluations and IEP-appropriate health components across building sites.

The role requires MN RN licensure, MN PHN licensure (preferred), CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license for in-district travel. Collaboration with school staff and families is essential.

Qualifications

Active RN license in MN
Public Health Nurse licensure in MN
Current CPR certification is required
Valid driver's license for in-district travel
Knowledge of state and federal health laws applying to schools
Commitment to confidentiality with students and staff

Responsibilities

Delegate skilled nursing procedures to school staff under MN Nurse Practice Act
Supervise and train LPNs when needed per MN Nurse Practice Act
Maintain ISD 622 health service records and health data
Administer medications per physician orders and parental authorizations
Communicate medication policies to parents and school staff
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for IEP health components
Support health education and health promotion activities for students
