Job summary

Affton School District is seeking an experienced School Nurse for Affton High School (9-12). This 10-month, full-time position offers health, dental, life and vision coverage, plus paid sick and personal leave.

Starting immediately, compensation ranges from $31.09 to $36.18 per hour, with a $2,000 annual stipend for maintaining the NCSN certification. The nurse will support student health, perform care assessments, plan interventions, and ensure confidential handling of information within the

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year associate degree is required; BSN preferred.
• RN license is required.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Prior school nursing experience or experience with school-age children is preferred.
• CPR, First Aid and AED training required; ability to teach CPR/First Aid/AED.

Responsibilities

• Support the physical, mental, and social health of students and their success in learning.
• Provide health care assessments, identify problems, plan, intervene, and follow up.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with staff, students, and families.
