Job summary

Affton School District is seeking Substitute School Nurses district-wide in Saint Louis, Missouri. This substitute position is on an as-needed basis during the 9.5 month school year, with an anticipated start date of immediately.

The role offers $31.09 per hour for irregular hours and no benefits due to the schedule. Responsibilities include health assessments, medication administration, emergency care, and coordination with families and school staff to support student health and learning

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Valid and current Missouri RN license required.
• CPR, First Aid, and AEDs certification current.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Preference for candidates with school/educational setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe, accessible, positive environment for all members of the school community.
• Provide first-aid and emergency care to students as needed.
• Perform general health screenings and health-related assessments per policy.
• Administer medications to students according to district procedures.
• Coordinate with parents and staff on student health plans of care.
