Job summary

ProCare in Cicero, IL seeks a contracted Registered Nurse to provide direct one-on-one care for a student with cerebral palsy in a school setting. You will accompany the student on school bus rides, assist with daily activities, and monitor health throughout the day.

The role requires pediatric nursing experience, familiarity with tracheostomy and tube feeding, and strong documentation skills. This contract offers healthcare benefits and housing/meal allowances as described.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted RN license suitable for school environments.
Experience with pediatric clients or similar care settings.
Strong background in managing severe or complex caseloads.
Familiarity with tracheostomy, tube feeding, and mobility assistance.

Responsibilities

Provide direct one-on-one nursing care for a student with cerebral palsy.
Accompany and support the student on school bus rides, ensuring safety and comfort.
Assist with daily activities, including feeding, hygiene, and changing.
Monitor the student’s medical condition and respond to needs or emergencies.
Collaborate with educational staff, administrators, and the student’s care team.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in line with school policies.
