Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System seeks a dedicated school nurse to support student health and learning. You will assess health needs, coordinate care, and remove barriers to learning while upholding patient privacy and safety in a school setting.

The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with Indiana license, has experience in pediatric or school health, and collaborates with families, educators, and healthcare partners.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma or BSN).
• Indiana RN license is required.
• Preference for 3 years of nursing experience in a school setting.

JOB SUMMARY

• Facilitates and strengthens and the educational process by improving and protecting the health status of children and by identifying and assisting in the removal or modification of health-related barriers to the learning process for the individual child.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

• Education: Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing ADN, Diploma, or BSN. Bachelors preferred.

• Licensure: RN Indiana license.

• Experience: 3 years nursing experience in a school setting is preferred.
