Job summary

EDU-AIDs LLC is seeking a dedicated School Nurse (RN) to join our team in Washington. The nurse will provide direct care for students, administer medications, and develop individual healthcare plans, coordinating with educators and families to promote student health and safety.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• BSN preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Previous school nursing, pediatric, public health, or community health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, IEPs, and school health regulations is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, school staff, and healthcare providers.
• Commitment to supporting student health, safety, and academic success.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, illness assessment, emergency care, and health counseling.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with chronic medical conditions.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to support student health and educational success.
• Participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings when appropriate to address students' healthcare needs.
• Conduct required health screenings, including vision, hearing, and other state-mandated screenings.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and implement emergency response procedures.
• Promote health education, wellness, disease prevention, and infection control throughout the school community.
