Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a School Registered Nurse – Bus Riding RN in Talbot County, MD to provide full-time nursing coverage for students with complex medical needs and to ride the bus with assigned students.

The role requires an active Maryland RN license and involves collaboration with school staff, families and healthcare professionals to ensure student safety and continuity of care; schedule Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license is required.
• Experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or medically complex care preferred.
• Comfort riding the school bus with students as part of daily assignment.
• Ability to provide safe nursing care during the school day and transportation.

• Location: Talbot County, MD


• Position: School Registered Nurse – Bus Riding RN


• Compensation: $44–49+/hr based on experience (W-2)


• Schedule: 37.5 hours/week


• Days: Monday–Friday


• Hours: Approximately 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full-time nursing coverage for students with complex medical needs during the school day.


• Ride the school bus with assigned students to and from school.


• Provide nursing care and monitoring during transportation.


• Support students who require nursing services while at school.


• Collaborate with school staff, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure student safety and continuity of care.


• Follow all applicable nursing standards, care plans, and school district procedures.

Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license required


• Previous school nursing, pediatric, or medically complex care experience preferred


• Must be comfortable riding the school bus with students as part of the daily assignment


• Must be able to provide safe and attentive nursing care throughout the school day and during transportation
