Job summary

Polk County Schools in Lake Alfred, FL seeks a network coordinator to manage instructional and non-instructional school microcomputer networks, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software. Coordinates and trains staff, and partners with outside vendors and the Technological Services Division to support the district technology plan.

Requires sixty college credits or higher; an Associate's degree is acceptable.

Qualifications

• 60+ college credits or an Associate's degree or higher required.
• Diploma from an accredited High school, Bachelor's degree and valid Florida teaching certificate recommended.
• Proven technical training or experience administering local area networks required.
• Due to the need to train and support classroom teachers, less than a teaching degree diminishes credibility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the maintenance, operation and management of school networks.
• Assists with planning, design and installation of future network expansions.
• Install and maintain school network hardware and software.
