Job summary

Polk County Schools seeks a technically skilled individual to coordinate, install, and manage instructional and non-instructional school networks. You will configure hardware, support backups, and train staff in network use.

The role requires planning network expansions, maintaining software licenses, and coordinating with external vendors. A proactive professional will contribute to the school technology plan and budget with the Technological Services Division.

Qualifications

• Requires 60 college credits or an Associate's degree or higher.
• Diploma from accredited high school; Bachelor’s recommended.
• Strong technical training or LAN administration experience required.
• Experience training classroom staff is needed due to teaching support.
• Bilingual/biliterate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and management of school networks.
• Assist planning and installation of future network expansions.
• Configure workstations and connect to mainframe systems as needed.
• Develop and maintain network procedures and backups.
• Train staff in network usage and software applications.
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants and trainers.
