Job summary

Polk County Schools seeks a qualified network specialist to manage instructional and non-instructional school networks. You will install, troubleshoot, maintain hardware/software, and train staff in network use.

The role involves coordinating with vendors, securing licenses, and supporting the school technology plan within the district. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 60+ college credits or an Associate's degree or higher.
• High school diploma or equivalent; teaching certificate recommended.
• Experience administering local area networks required; strong technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates maintenance and management of school network environments.
• Assists planning/design/installation of network expansions.
• Configures workstations and ensures regular backups and security policies.
• Trains staff and coordinates with outside vendors and trainers.
• Maintains network documentation, inventory, and licensing records.
• Supports budget processes for technology resources and integration into curricula.
