Job summary

The LEA Project Manager will serve as the local Project AWARE lead in Pulaski County Public Schools, coordinating the implementation of a five-year SAMHSA-funded initiative to strengthen school mental health systems.

Based primarily within Pulaski County, this position reports to the VCU Project AWARE Director and will work with school leadership, families, community partners, and behavioral health providers to build sustainable, comprehensive mental health support systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or related field.
• At least 2 years in K–12 education.
• Experience coordinating school-based programs.
• Strong coordination, communication, collaboration, and organization.
• Knowledge of K–12 systems and partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate professional learning across schools.
• Facilitate cross-sector collaboration with schools, families, and partners.
• Monitor implementation data and report progress.
• Support continuous improvement aligned with MTSS.
