Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a dynamic LEA Project Manager to lead local Project AWARE efforts in Pulaski County Public Schools. The role focuses on coordinating implementation, coordinating with the VCU Project AWARE Director, and engaging schools, families, and community partners to strengthen school mental health systems.

The position requires a Master’s degree and 2+ years in K–12 education, with strong coordination, collaboration, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, counseling, psychology, social work, school administration, public health, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience working in K–12 education.
• Experience coordinating school-based programs, projects, or initiatives.
• Strong project coordination, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of K–12 school systems and ability to work with school personnel, families, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day implementation of Project AWARE within Pulaski County Public Schools.
• Work with the VCU Project AWARE Director to ensure alignment with goals and grant requirements.
• Serve as the primary local contact between the school division and the VCU Project AWARE team.
• Collaborate with division and school leadership to align activities with priorities.
• Coordinate professional learning and implementation activities for Project AWARE.
• Facilitate collaboration among schools, families, youth, and community partners.
• Support resource mapping, needs assessment, and implementation planning.
