The LEA Project Manager serves as the local Project AWARE lead in New Kent County Public Schools, coordinating the implementation of a five-year SAMHSA-funded initiative to strengthen school mental health systems. Based primarily within the school division, this position works under VCU's Project AWARE Director to align mental health initiatives with school priorities, facilitate collaboration among schools, families, and community partners, and support data-driven continuous improvement within the district's multi-tiered system of supports.

Key qualifications:

• Master's degree in education, counseling, psychology, social work, school administration, public health, or related field
• Minimum two years of experience working in K–12 education
• Experience coordinating school-based programs, projects, or initiatives
• Strong project coordination, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of K–12 school systems and ability to work with school personnel, families, and community partners
• Experience using data to monitor progress and support continuous improvement
