Job summary

The SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) is hiring a Mental Health Professional I for the Anderson area. You will provide school-based case management and counseling to children, adolescents, and families, coordinating care with school staff and community partners to support long-term wellness.

Under supervision, you will maintain patient records, comply with CARF standards, and participate in training.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences or related field.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in SC; willing to pursue licensure within six months if unlicensed.
• Clinical experience providing direct patient care; documentation per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and counseling services to children, adolescents, and families in school settings.
• Provide counseling to CAF population and consult with school personnel on referrals.
• Complete and maintain patient records per CARF standards and policies.
• Coordinate services within the agency and with community resources.
• Participate in required in-service training and continuing education.
