Job summary

American Heritage School in Plantation, FL seeks a School Janitor to maintain clean, safe, and orderly facilities across campus, performing daily cleaning, floor care, trash removal, and basic maintenance.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, good communication and organization, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to handle a range of duties from cleaning to light repairs; benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and tuition assistance for employees'

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces.
• Good communication and organization skills.
• Experience with cleaning products and chemicals is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and mop all floors daily in designated areas (Bathrooms, hallways, etc.)
• Strip and wax floors as needed
• Empty trash and replace liners daily
• Clean windows, doors, and surfaces as requested by supervisor
• Report supply needs to Lead Representative
• Open/close picnic table umbrellas daily
• Set up and breakdown events and move furniture as required
