Job summary

The Richardson School in Sheboygan, Wisconsin is hiring a part-time Maintenance Assistant to support daily operations, safety, and upkeep of our campus. You will perform routine cleaning, minor repairs, grounds care, and coordinate with external vendors to keep classrooms, hallways, and outdoor spaces welcoming and safe for students, staff, and visitors.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED and at least one year of maintenance or facilities experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of maintenance or facilities experience.
• Preferred experience in carpentry, painting, basic plumbing, electrical work or mechanical repair.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete maintenance work orders; assess issues and repair within scope.
• Perform routine maintenance such as painting, wall repair, unclogging drains and toilets, and minor electrical tasks.
• Inspect and maintain building systems; assist with HVAC and safety-related tasks as needed.
• Assist with seasonal grounds care and safety of roads, sidewalks, and entrances.
• Coordinate with external vendors and supervise work as directed.
