Job summary

Charlton County Schools is seeking a reliable Custodian to support Charlton County High School with cleaning, maintenance and safety. You will service classrooms, hallways, cafeterias and restrooms, and assist staff as needed to keep the building welcoming and clean.

Under supervision of the Principal, duties include handling deliveries, moving furniture, cleaning floors, and contributing to the recycling program while following district safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required or desirable.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions in English.
• Experience in building cleaning and maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure building at shift start and end.
• Clean rooms, halls, restrooms, and offices per standards.
• Sweep, mop, wax floors and maintain surfaces.
• Receive deliveries and handle unloading and storage.
• Assist with setup for events and programs.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE as required.
