Job summary

Tooele County School District is seeking a Food Service Cook at West Elementary School to support the school meals program. The role requires cooking to meet nutritional standards, maintaining sanitary facilities, and assisting the food service team in daily duties.

The candidate must have a high school diploma, be at least 18 years old, and hold a valid Food Handler's Permit. Expected duties include stocking, documentation, and adherence to health and safety guidelines, with a focus on meal

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid Food Handlers Permit.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Maintain confidentiality of students and staff.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Cleans utensils, equipment, and prep/serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
Cooks food, from scratch or prepared, per production records and nutritional requirements.
Inspects food items for quantity, quality, and compliance with health standards.
Stocks food, condiments, and supplies to maintain adequate quantities.
Prepares documentation such as inventory and temperature logs.
Evaluates prepared food for flavor, appearance, and temperature.
