Job summary

Genuine Foods is hiring a School Food Service Worker for Barre Town MS/ES in Barre, VT. This position supports breakfast and lunch service, helps finish food preparation per recipe standards, and interacts with students, teachers and parents with a friendly, customer-service mindset, while upholding USDA National School Lunch requirements.

Work is on-site, day shift, Monday through Friday, with opportunities to learn culinary skills and advance.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible and able to work well in a team.
• Experience in mid-high volume food service or restaurant preferred.
• Willingness to learn USDA National School Lunch Program compliance.
• Positive attitude and reliability.
• Able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve food to students and staff with a positive attitude.
• Finish preparing food in line with recipes and standards.
• Keep serving areas clean and sanitized.
• Stock and organize kitchen and serving areas for smooth service.
• Notify supervisor of issues promptly.
